Dominican Republic located around the island of Hispaniola. They have a current population of 10.77 million. This Caribbean nation primarily speaks Spanish with some people who know creole because of their neighboring island Haiti. Currently this nation has a democratic government and uses the form of money called "pesos". The capital of the beautiful island is Santo Domingo. This is one of the oldest Caribbean cites.

You have to be very careful anywhere you travel in the Dominican but Punta Cana is for sure the most safest and tourist filled area.

Punta Cana is one of the most popular beach destinations in the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana is a party town where you can swim with dolphins or sharks, race a speed boat, or go deep sea fishing, catamaran sailing, whale watching or zip lining. Plan to be very busy during your visit.
